I see this as to friends that started by learning to ride bikes with no handlebars, but then later in life they had to split ways and live life how they saw fit. One friend took the path of neighborly love and peace and the other chose to be in the life of business. As that friend grew more power, he lost control and wanted more and more until he ruled the world. The first friend that chose peace became the leader of the resistance and lead them against his former friend. As the world ruler over saw the battle, his armies slaughtered them and that made him remember what his childhood was like with his friend that was down there and he regretted all that he had become. |

Apparently hardly anyone knows the truth behind this song. This song is based on a mini story in Ray Bradbury's book "The Illustrated Man". In this mini story, a family of 3 (father, mother, son), is being torn apart by the father's ambition to be in space. The father agrees to end his space career after one more mission. Unfortunately, on that mission, his space ship crashes into the Sun. This song has nothing to do with drugs or getting high. I hope that this will help put an end to this controversy. |
