| I think people have totally missed the actual *second* hidden meaning of this song. He intentionally named it HEAD games. Normally, people use the term "mind games" to describe the manipulative psychological interplay between a couple. I think one perfectly acceptable interpretation of this song is that the girl will not give him sex, only "head games". He's getting fed up with the situation and wants her to give herself sexually to him. Why is he having daydreams about her? Because he wants to make love and all she can give him is head games because she wants to either be in love or married before she'll go all the way. Given the mindset of women around 1980, this fits perfectly. But yet, you can also take the other literal meaning that it's about mind games between a couple. | |
