no no no you guys! this song is 100% about picking yourself up after a breakup. because love hurt you but "there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears and love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears" and it's not hoping for a girl to not break his heart, because that brings fear and this new eventual love will be nothing but uplifting.
