It seems to be about the elders and the temples of love. He's the last man standing while some fell into heaven and some into hell. He's alone because he's not one of 'them' nor is he really living but he's not in the matrix of the unconscious. He has no one to shelter him from himself or the world so he goes back to sleep and fights through another day. But the time has come where he's been called on to take what he relly wanted (i think this is probably to be enjoying his life with the living) but then to deliver his message and to destroy the temples of love (dogma/blind faith/guilt/coverteousness etc) and the little white lies. He doesnt really want to because he understands the consequences however he isnt jesus, he's just another man nailed to the cross so he will be forced to because he has no choice. Good song...about shame and pride...in my 'umble opinion. |
