Bombay Bicycle Club – Come To Lyrics 11 years ago
I think that this song is about a relationship that's dying, but one of them wants to keep going hence the "but I saw it fading and I have some faith in us" bit.

Cartel – Uninspired Lyrics 12 years ago
I think that he's talking about when Cartel was still signed to a record label and the burdens that they experienced. They felt as if they we're being pressured, they had to come up with songs that lead up to the expectations of the label. Now, without a record label, they are saying that they're better than before and that the labels would want them back eventually when they don't have plans at all to be signed to a record label anymore.

Cartel – First Things First Lyrics 12 years ago
It's probably about people who are being judged or mocked for what they think they are passionate about. We feel as if things are getting worse, but then there is always a solution to it. In the chorus, we are reminded that these people that criticize us for doing what we want are just a waste of time and we should only care about ourselves and our happiness.

Circa Survive – The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose (Album) Lyrics 14 years ago
For me, I think the song is talking about an addiction.

"move one inch at a time
don't make shit rhyme
would it be easy to repeat the first line?"

Move one inch at a time*
If you have an addiction, you can't stop fully..instead what you do is quit it slowly, it becomes lesser each time until your addiction is gone. So, its like moving an inch at a time.

Don't make shit rhyme*
Don't let you and your addiction last forever, that makes both of you parallel...facing (or with) each other every time. Rhyme, since you've been addicted to it.

Would it be easy to repeat the first line?*
Self explanatory. (Repeat everything until the addiction is gone.)

"my mind's not a well, it won't run dry
just keep drinking water and you'll be alright
this is paralysis, with no time at all to let go"

My mind's not a well, it won't run dry*
It means that the person is conscious and the person knows that he is addicted to something, and he wants to change it...and he will keep thinking about his problem (it won't run dry.).

Just keep drinking water and you'll be alright*
Be hydrated and you'll forget about it. Being dehydrated can make you unconscious, unconsciousness might make you remember the addiction, and you'll stay addicted.

This is paralysis, with no time at all to let go*
I think it is talking about the line before this (Just keep drinking water...). It is saying that unconsciousness makes you stop (paralyze means can't move) the beginning of the addiction-less life. 'With no time at all to let go', you'll be able to find it out yourself, if you can't it means you have no time to let go of the addiction because of your unconsciousness.

"well don't call me by my full name
all this is temporary
it feels much better to know
that you won't feel a thing"

Well don't call me by my full name*
It means that maybe the person's friends know that he was addicted before, and they still think the person is still addicted...making the person tell them not to call him by his full name, full name as "being addicted".

All this is temporary*
The person's addiction is temporary, and he is stopping it.

It feels much better to know, that you won't feel a thing*
The person is saying that stopping addiction, and being addiction free will not take any effect on you, and you will stop thinking and thinking. The person is glad that there is no effect.

"well don't talk about it
write it down
but don't ask for help
I can't be honest with even myself
did you ever wish you were somebody else?"

Well don't talk about it, write it down but don't ask for help*
The person is talking to his friends and telling them not to mention it to anyone and talk about him being addicted, but write down on their minds about his addiction because it will be gone soon. Don't ask for help with his addiction, now that he told his friends about it.

I can't be honest with even myself*
Stating that he had the addiction and needs to stop it, but his mind just wants to take it (notice the need and want difference!)...making him not honest with himself.

Did you ever wish you were somebody else?*
The person wants to be someone else because he already made himself addicted to something, making it a big problem to take it away and he wants to start over again without it...stating that he wants to be someone else already.

"accomplishments are transient
they pull me in unremittingly
just lasting this long, I feel relieved
let repetition save me"

Accomplishments are transient*
It means that accomplishments don't last forever, the accomplishment as addiction...very easy to find out.

They pull me in unremittingly*
The addiction wants the person to be addicted to it again and it never stops because it knows what will happen.

Just lasting this long, I feel relieved*
Now this line is digressing from the first two lines, it's talking about how the person is feeling without the addiction (some addictions ruin life e.g. drugs) He already lasted a long time without the addiction and he is relieved that his life is not being damaged.

Let repetition save me*
Remember the first three lines in the first verse? The person repeated what he was doing and is saving him.

"move one inch at a time
and you'll be just fine
move one inch at a time and you'll find
they pull me in but accomplishments are transient"

Move one inch at a time and you'll be just fine*
Stop the addiction slowly and you'll be alright in the end, self explanatory as well.

Move one inch at a time and you'll find*
Stop the addiction slowly and you will be able to find what you really wanted.

They pull me in but accomplishments are transient*
The addictions try to make him go back with the addiction but as said, accomplishments (addictions) won't last forever.
