This song is about the corruption and exploitation of the music industry to young, naive, hopeful, mediocre music groups/acts, for example, so called big record producers and companies bring in music groups who will not last long but encourage them to sign a worthless contract or deal in which they receive hardly any cash, just for revenue and benefit for their own greed. |

This song is just about the divides within society in general, such as the higher class people, the opposites, the influential people, and how everyone thinks they are different and how this is against morality in which the line "god only knows, it's not what we would choose" saying how god supposedly put people on this planet who are all the same. Also how the lower people in society are just dismissed because of their lack of wealth, fame, or status, with lines such as "out of the way, it's a busy day" And people with higher status in society just look down upon the people below them with lines such as "and after all we're just ordinary men", causing segregation and separation which can potentially cause depression in life, but overall we are all the same though we may come across as opposites with lines such as "black and blue". |

This song is about being an individual within society and refusing to conform or give in to the high class pressure around you and what people think of you, especially those of status, it also deals with the concept of being rebellious and having your own attitude and not really caring about what other people think. |
