I think this is a great song that has an almost spiritual quality about it. It's a song about hope, dreams and self-belief. It is uplifting and reminds me of the kind of optimism only a young person could feel, looking at their whole life ahead of them. However, it suggests that the person is not happy at the moment and is seeking to escape their present circumstances "Although you think I cope, my head is filled with hope...of some place other than here". Having said that, the subject strongly believes that life will get better "Even when you see me frown, my heart won't let me down, because I know there's better things to come" I hope this song gives hope and strength to people out there!!! |
