Sory, i hear what ur saying, but the pentagon is a building, not a religious symbol. The pentagram is a 5 sided star encased in a perfect circle, a symbol that can be traced back to the ancient egyptians. The pentacle (without the circle) is meant to show the path of energy through life, death and resurection. the 5 stages of life, the 5 elements of nature, the 5 main chakrahs ect. It has also been adopted by other religions such as christians (5 wounds of christ) and as a symbol of power, authority, bravery, honour and virtue amongst our modern law organizations. |

Good point, in one of their songs (cant remember which one) they mention 4 men from 4 different religions uniting under one cause. Just so you know tho, the pentacle represents the 5 stages of life (birth, adolescence, coitus, parenthood and death) and the elements that rule them (Earth, Air, Fire, Water and spirit. It has been the most commonly used symbol in many religions including christianity, where it represents the 5 wounds of christ.

at the end of 2010 i went to a concert in Saskatchewan, Canada where Disturbed was headlining. I can not put into words the strength that rose up inside me when this song was played. As i looked around at the crowd i saw, for the first time in my life, thousands of people who were not looking for reasons to hate, thousands of individuals who did not need an excuse to create contraversy. I heard the words of the song and saw the fists rise and fall in waves of understanding and comradity. It didn't matter what each person was personally fighting for, but that we fought together to be seen, heard and understood. We the youth have a voice, they can ignore one or two of us, but the masses will be heard, and ten thousand fists will punch their mark toward the sky. |

I think it is a great collection of good advice. Your destiny is built by the choices you make every moment of every day, so don't leave it to anybody else to make those choices for you because in the end its just you and your decisions (good and bad) that will determine the value of your life. There are no good byes, when it's time to go we go. When you look at an older friend or family member, see them as they truely are, experienced, knowledgable teachers who want you to learn from their mistakes and realize that one day you could end up that way too.

I love seeing so many different views of what the meaning could be... thats how it should be :)
To me this song is about death itself, watching the last moments of a young woman who has struggled through her life, making all the wrong choices and has lost her way. Like all angels, death has jealousy toward humans with their souls and will power. Death can not understand how this girl can walk beside him this night, knowing what he is. She has given up on life, and as death takes her in his hand he feels shame, shame that she is so young and that her name will be forgotten before too long. She asks him if he can save her, by taking her away from the pain she is in, and he promises that he will take her to a place where she can find all that she is missing, where she can find beauty and strength and safety. But as he takes her soul from her broken body, he can not help but feel hatred toward her, she who would so easily waste the blessing that is a soul. And her soul sighs in relief, free from a body that refused to let it grow. |
