i came to know about nick drake after reading about his albums in the book 1001 albums you must hear before you die. i've listened to five leaves left and pink moon and i can definitely say dat this is my favourite of them all. its just a superb illustration of nick's unique ability to say a lot with a few words. i think this song means living life on your own terms and not caring about accepted conventions.unlike most of his other songs this one's not haunting but just enigmatical and mystical and enticing. totally out of this world. |
