| Well, the tides do go up and down. Maybe this refers to a disorder or state the person is going through (it recedes then returns)that is ultimately consuming him/her. Anyway, this song is an awesome precursor to "Waving." | |

I don't really know what Wilson is saying here (and that's the true magic of his work) but, in my opinion, this song is very familiar to Porcupine Tree's "Buying New Soul." Allusions: door, shore, waving. I'm just tossing ideas. Hopefully, someone will be able to interpret this piece of work. PS. Is "hedge" the correct lyric? I though it was "edge". Oh well. |
