to the working clas a hero is mainly someone who works till he drops dead. while the propaganda working class hero is a civil rights fighter, but the working clas dont like those cause masses never like those who lift theire heads above the rests or worse tell them to change theire lives. also they are told that by working hard and stop to care about others they can reach the top . they never stood a chance cause they were already broken after scool,but they hold onto it cause otherwise everthing in theire lives would've been in vain. and even if one makes it or starts with the golden spoon rich or poor in the end all "fucking peasants" nowadays the better to be seen in beeing chained to the mobile "forever and ever bound in service". |

striktly politikal meant, i presume like often they adapt well known phrases. all the things hearts could do are typical expresions known to everyone in germany. and the chorus? it revers to a klasikal german workers-marching-song (also sung by ton steine scherben): "und weil der mensch ein mensch ist drum hatt er stiefel im gesicht nicht gern er will unter sich keine sclaven sehn und über sich keinen herrn drum links 2 3 drum links 2 3 wo dein platz genosse ist reih dich ein in die arbeitereinheitsfront weil du auch ein arbeiter bist" |

Maybe it would be helpfull to notice the timing of distribution when after 9/11 the german gouvernment sworn "uneingeschränkte solidarität" to amerika and as a price for that has been driven into their first allover war in afghanistan and openly embarrassed by gwbjr for not doing a 2 as well. Despite we have more american soldiers in germany than our own, warfare isn't realy popular anymore (although we've been good at it) and america is viewed as the power whos trying to force us to it. I think thats more of the point, the fear of cultural or economical influence is'nt that far spread in europe or germany or especially the berlin/potsdam sqatersceane where rammstein has its roots |

It's a mixture I think stupid holidays in sunny dictatorships (in guarded reservoirs) and westberlin big "prisoncamp" surrounded by a very very conservative(they didnt had rockn roll; they had revuetheater and still freaked out about punx in the late 80s) regime(and the wall of cause) and wellguarded with watchtowers (imagine: sittig at the street, drinking beer while they watch you) with a the squater/punkscene distrikt right at the wall british, amerikan, french soldiers were there as well they even made a manouver inside this district. It was somehow a realy strange live on the deklared and prepared ww3 batlefield wich still wore the scares of ww2 with lacking roofs and maschinegunnbulletholes along the houses song always reminds me at those times |
