I think it's about being yourself and not living life on anyone else's terms but your own. If people think you're stupid or wrong for doing what you think is right for you, then ignore them. If you try to visualize it, the protagonist of the song is halfway between the sky and the ground. All the people on the ground are trying to change him- wrap him up and transform him into just another product of society. Winning the earth (or trying to please all those who are trying to change him) isn't worth his time. He wants to escape all that and take to the sky. |
