| The Gaslight Anthem – The Backseat Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I think this song is about the reckless abandon that youth has in young love. I guess I speak from experience. But "In the backseats of burned out cars, in the disenchantment lane, The ideal angels twist and turn and ask for forgiveness for future mistakes." I think this means the fooling around that can go with a couple in a car alone, always wondering if what they're doing is too far, but never stopping themselves, begging for forgiveness. Everything about knees just seems so obvious to me, cars are not great places to make out or anything else. Literally, its hard to find space for your knees. But I just love this song, because it captures that quick, passionate youthful love. When we didnt know any better, the nostalgia factor seems pretty in line with the rest of the album |

| Mumford & Sons – White Blank Page Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I agree with Stephen on this mostly. I think the line about "her white blank page" is directly related to some feeling I've had before. I always take note of clean, pure girls, (not because its some twisted take away their purity thing, but I have more respect for them and there's one right now that I think I like) So I think that lyric is saying how she was perfect for him with her purity and cleanliness. |
