this song is about a crack addict and the lead singer of the band was visiting a place where he was the mentor to a crack addict and gave him hope but then something im not sure of happened to him i think and he wrote that song which is a great song btw

the song Hero is easily one of my top 5 favoorite songs and i think that the song has to do with christianity and how every one needs a hero and that hero is God in this song. also the song says something that is very true and that is "a hero is not afraid to give his life" and that is very true because a true hero will put others before him/her self. overall this is a very powerful and meaningful song.
