| JMO, but I think it sounds as if was a heroin addict. And when he was using he couldn't feel anything. Emotionally (because being an addict, it's a full-time job, really..and relationships can't be REAL) and physically...kissing, sex, it's feels like nothing. Nothing feels like what it feels like to be just alive..awake and sober and alive and in love and lust. So, when he became sober, he got together with this woman (who he may have wanted to be with when he was using, but knew he couldn't..heroin, for example, is a heavy weight). It doesn't allow for anything or anyone to come IN. So, when he did get sober, he got his senses back. Now he feels everything. Her touch. Her love. Nothing feels like it does than when she's holdin on. I too love the line, "I wanna treat you like you wanna be treated"...it's so dreamy. So lovely. It makes me sad because I've never had anyone love me this way. | |
