Babyshambles – Unbilotitled Lyrics 14 years ago
I think this song is about Pete's relationship with drugs and how he realizes he needs to get off it. I believe this song is about an attempt to get off drugs.

"He is stronger than the walls, That you tried to build around him":
Pete is talking to himself meaning that he is stronger than the drugs he use as a way to protect himself.

"For 2000 years I have waited for that call, Screaming from the windows, Screaming bloody murder":
This song was written after the deaths of both Whitehead and Blanco, which Pete was said to be involved in. It's like Pete has known for a long time something bad like this was going to happen if he continued with the drugs. And now when it has it's basically his wake-up call, the final push for him to realize he needs to get off the drugs since he sees what they shit they get him into.

"The more that you follow me the more i get lost
You think that you know me pissing me off
You say that you love me, why don't you fuck off?
You others think that you own me, rippin' me off":
Pete singing to his drugs and what they do to him. In this song his drugs are portraited as a lover.

"I messed my head, I messed my head
Oh happy will I be
Seem to shine fire upon everyone and no one"
He messed his head up with drugs. The line "Oh happy will I be" I believe is him picturing himself without the addiction.

"Wolfman and bilo, on the run":
On the run=Off the drugs. They're trying to get clean.

"Wolfman said to bilo "i'm calling it on":
Wolfman gives up his attempt of being clean.

"And there goes a Bilo on the run
She said to Bilo and killed everyone"
Pete stays off the drugs while she (the drugs) kills the other still-addicts.

As I stated before I believe this is Pete's thoughts just as he's about to attempt to get off drugs. As we all know now he failed. Nevertheless this explanation makes a lot of sence to me.

The Libertines – Time For Heroes Lyrics 14 years ago
But isn't that the beauty of music? That you can interpret the songs in so many way? I think so, and if you mean every song must have a definite interpretation I feel sorry for you.

Nevertheless, the song -stems- from Peter's experiences of the Mayday riots in 2001 (not a football riot). The part with Peter being hit in the head is true though, you can also see a reference to this in the song Mayday.

What you say about the "englishman - baseball cap" bit just shows how unfamiliar you are with Peter's songwriting. There's more depth and thoughts behind it than just something he wrote cause he got beaten up by an englishman in a baseball cap once. Pete likes to draw pictures and similarities with his songwritings. Why is it so out of the question that it's about the loss of national identity?

Don't believe you have some sort of answer to the meaning of this song because you read a book about libs. Peter hasn't explained the song more than saying it grew from his experiences in the mayday riots of 2001. The rest is the writer's interpretations. Stop being a pretentious douche and let people share their own interpretations and opinions of the song. There is no absolute answer!
