To me, this is about being left by the one you love. It feels like the song is being sung directly to the person that left. It displays strength and freedom. But actually it's all a front, and the singer is using the tough words to cover up how broken they really feel. The lines "I promise you - I'm finally free" sound especially like the singer is trying to convince himself. |

I think this is about a deep-rooted disatisfaction with life. Circumstances are holding you back, and knowing deep down that you need to find a different place to call home - not necessarily geographically, but maybe a different person, different way of life, different attitude. |
