I think this song is about having a certain level of mental disconnect from the world, one's family, and one's own self. It seems to me that the singer is trying to reconnect himself with all of those elements, but he is still lost. Personally, I have experience times in my life when I felt disconnected from everyone, everything, and even myself... even things I had taken to be true, that I had been taught seemed foreign to me, and I had to make and effort to convince myself that I really was not lost in my mind... Singing this song is very cathartic for me. |
