Just a thought on another religious reference... I know one of the Catholic traditions is that on the way to Golgotha a woman wiped Jesus' brow. So I wonder if that's a wee part of Lucy's joke. |

"When God left the ground to circle the world" reminds me of the imagery in Genesis with the Holy Spirit "hovering over the waters" before the rest of the creation story takes place. Sort of a reversal, God had hovered, then came to earth, then went back to circle it. |
