| Foals – Alabaster Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Pretty sure I have this half figured. The song has alot of references to caves, specificall Cueva de Villaluz. A cave in Mexico with sulphuric acid rivers. Most obviously the line "I knew a girl that came from Villaluz." Villa Luz also translates to House of Light, which explains the references to the house, and possibly the glowing insects that live in the 'domes' or the roof, of many caves. "Shes up in the sky and the sky is on fire." "She's up in the domes" "She's a light in the dark." And finally, Alabaster is either a Calcite or Gypsum, both of which make up the stalactites and crystals etc found in caves. As to the victory lines etc. Someone help me out?? |
