| System of a Down – Toxicity Lyrics | 14 years ago |

here's what i see from itt: if you see the people as computers, following some sort of "operacional system" which is the control from the government, media, etc, then everybody turns on their tv to update their view of the world everyday and match it to the eyes of the hub (the central connection in a lan for example) that is of course already tired and decadent aaand many people eat seeds, which i suppose are some kind of alucinogen seed, as a pastime activity, so he's meaning "look how toxic our society became" then comes the part he asks us if we own the world to turn it into this tremendous disorder or maybe it's "what do you owe the world, how do you owe disorder" which would mean why do you trample on this world that doesn`t deserve this disorder the sacred silence probably means death as you all said, and i agree that it would mean that we are half-slumbering half-dead but i think it's more as a people, a city that's passed out nearly dead from intoxication (but still high so we don't care) i think more woods for the fires, loud neighbours would mean aggravating any conflicts around you just to see the world burn, being a nasty neighbour in general i don't get the reveries thing...maybe yeah, the guy in the car was daydreaming and got caught by a truck whose driver didn't really care the sun part really no idea |

| Edguy – The Piper Never Dies Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Well, the first part of the song certainly seems about standing up for yourself, but then he says: "The ferryman is gentle And promises are made The other side may hold a lot to see He's gonna take you over And then he'll name the fare Oh you gamble with the devil, fool The ferryman is me" well, what i figure is: Sammet tricks us into believing that the piper is a nice guy who will help you be yourself and not being influenced by others, but then when you realise it, it would have been to late to escape then he proceeds to confuse you saying the stories about the piper were written for cowards, well, i don't know what to think, it probably was meant to be a song that leaves you wondering: "is this guy evil? what would i do?" |

| Edguy – Ministry of Saints Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
i think that this song means to free yourself from religion telling you what to do or don't so heaven's up against the wall, changes hold sway, the angels are the "bad guys", and the ministry of saints travel from place to place convincing people not to be slaves of religion (hence we can make you anyone) OR there are the bad angels, poisoned rain and stuff, so the ministry of saints will judge the angels and punish the bad ones when the seventh seal is broken(the judgement day) and that's also the flood i dunno, complicated song |
