This is definitely among my very favorite radiohead songs.
I know that it was meant to be about hollywood, but it reminds me a lot of the Doors (go listen to My Wild Love)... It sounds, to me, like one of Jim's crazy songs trying to recruit anybody dark and far out enough to be willing to join him. "We want the young blood", "Would you do anything?" I can just feel Thom calling me, asking me to join him on his journey to wherever the fuck he's going (some dark edge of some reality that I certainly don't understand) and that is all that the Doors are about, following Jim to the edge, but only if you'll do anything. |

This song, no matter what state of mind I'm in, slows me down. Its one of those songs that make you just sit back and stare at the ceiling, ridding you of all thoughts. Its perfect. Depressing, almost makes me cry sometimes, but perfect. |
