This song accually reminds me of the movie Spun. I think it's about a guy that ruins peoples lives by selling them drugs or something.. In the music video everyone seemed to be pretty doped up lol so it made sense to me.. I watched you change Into a fly I looked away You were on fire This could mean that he saw them turn into fiends and when he "looks away" (stops giving them what they crave) they're "on fire" (crave the drugs and go crazy without them) I watched a change in you It's like you never had wings And you feel so alive I've watched you change He saw them change from normal to an addict and all they care about is their next high, it's like they never had hopes and dreams (wings) and they feel so alive (the high) I took you home Set you on the glass I pulled off your wings Then I laughed Basically, he introduced them to the drugs and ruined their lives (took them home and pulled out their wings) He laughs because he's getting loads of money and he doesnt care that they're getting hooked I watched a change in you It's like you never had words Now you feel so alive I watched you change He saw them turning from bad to worse, they can't do anything about it so it's like they never even had a chance (never had words) and they're still getting high so they still feel alive I look at the cross And I look away Give you the gun Blow me away He finally sees what he's doing to all those lives and he feels bad to the point where he wants to die.. This is where it reminds me of the movie Spun cause the drug dealer also kills himself in the end after seeing how he's ruined so manny lives.. |

I believe this song is about suicide. I agree 100% with ChristAlphaOmega with the whole "where do we go when we die?" thing but I think that with the whole sweet berries thing is like taking pills or something poisonous.. "Ghosts are no different than you" because people can't see ghosts and you think that they won't notice you are dead and gone.. You think that they'll forget eventually and you don't think they'll notice that you're gone really.. Whoever is going to commit suicide is probably thinking "Where will I go when I die? What will it feel like? Will I feel lik I'm flying? Will it feel like a dream?" |

its hard to explain what i think the meaning of this song is but ill try (x i kind of put my own meaning into this song in a way that i can relate but idk if this is the actual song meaning.. i think its about missing someone. when she says "i really want you to sigh" i think she means like, i want you to think of me and/or miss me.. when she says "just tonight i would...etc" i imagin like a breakdown, like tears and she misses him so much that for that moment that she feels all that pain she would die for him etc. and she wants him to thnk of her and miss her the way she misses him.. when she says "where am am i in a hallway small" i think might mean that theres only one way to go, either you stay here and the pain will linger, or you can keep moving foreward and get better.. idk what the red light and black sore means but i just kind of put my feelings into the song and this is what i got out of it. when she says "away, ia say" i think she wants to get the memories and images away from her head, and when she says "you'll follow me till the end" i think she means that there will always be a part of him that will never really leave.. once you're in love, you will always remember that person, therefore he "will follow her till the end". i could be way off, but this is what the song means to me.. this is by far my favorite distillers song because it expresses exactly how feel when i break down.. |
