| Tom Petty – Something In The Air Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| You have to hear the Thunderclap Newman version to get a feel for the staccato piano in it. Also, Petty leaves out the lines, "Hand out the arms and ammo, we're going to blast our way through here." Although violent in its imagery, this lyric more accurately reflects the 60s, with Vietnam, the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK; the violence found in anti-war groups like the Weather Underground, Dewey Canyon III, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and the Black Panthers. | |

| The Rolling Stones – Moonlight Mile Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Regarding Altamont... Meredith did not have a weapon. But racial tensions were so raw in America that the CIA forced the Stones to re-shoot the entire thing at the film studio where the moon walk was filmed earlier that year (1969). In the clip where you see Meredith's gun, there are no more 50 people shown. You think it's a concert with 250,000 people? Think again. There aren't even 100 people shown in the entire segment. Some researchers have even identified a few people in the fake Stones film who were photographed in Dealey Plaza on the day Kennedy was killed. Wake up people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qTKsylrpsg |

| Jackson Browne – Doctor My Eyes Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
"People go just where they will I never noticed them until I got this feeling That it's later than it seems" He is becoming aware of others around him and what he sees is changing him, possibly maturing him, making him more mature than his outward appearance. |

| Sheryl Crow – All I Wanna Do Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I like how anachronistic the song is. Datsun, Buick, phone company, record store, matches, and want ads-- all gone. It doesn't surprise me that it's originally poetry, because it is potently descriptive. | |
| Warren Zevon – Werewolves of London Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| About mainstreaming people with hypertrichosis along with the traditional werewolf story. | |
| Eagles – New Kid In Town Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
"Even your old friends treat you like you're something new" Throws me off-- if there are old friends, then you're not the new kid in town. Otherwise, the song is about the way the title of "new kid in town" is awarded to you and then later passed to someone else, along with the girl. "I don't want to hear it." |
