I understand where everyone is coming from from when they say you're at a low point etc. but honestly I think it's aimed more at anyone that's shit upon/looked down on/margainalized etc. How is this different? Well some of those people aren't going through a low point because that's all they've ever had and ever known. They could happy-go-lucky, but the song is for them too. @[hferro:47419] I think we they say "fallin'" they mean fallin' in love. And people do wild and crazy things and give of themselves in ways that can be destructive if they don't catch their intended target. And in this case the man doesn't want her and her friend is trying to tell her the obvious. But love is blind. I think the whole is just about one particular man Gloria is trying to get. The friend offers advice in the generalization kind of way. I've never really focused on the lyrics, but from the title alone I've always liked to believe it was about sex (remember, take into account I didn't listen to the lyrics) It seems most everyone that's commented has taking the "trans" part in transdermal in the transcending, existential, progression of shit and what not. I took it in the merging of the 'dermals', like epidermal. You know, like in fucking. :) And fucking is definitely a reason to celebrate and even a celebration in itself. Shit, one of the best celebrations in my opinion. So great that if i must, i'll master....er....um...celebrate by myself :D |
