| Rascal Flatts – What Hurts The Most Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Ok I've seen the video and listened to the song a lot so heres my interp.....its about a guy and girl who are dating and close to graduating from high school and they *whistle* and shes *whistle* and he moves in...Her moms glad the boy is stickin up to bein a man by moving in and all that and really likes the boy but her dad is still havin trouble likin him.......a week later the dad argues with the boy and the boy leaves with all his stuff......while hes driving he loses control crashes and dies.....they find out and the mother tells her daughter and the dad doesn't know what to say. The girl goes through the drawers they shared to see if he left anything but doesn't find anything and shes so upset that he died and that her father had that fight with him which drove him off, that she throws slaps and hits her father in anger and sadness...Her dad,Aka guy in video, trys to calm her down by hugging her and possibly whispering sorry or i didn't hate him.........The moral is if your a guy(or you have a guy he)you shouldn't walk out on a girl if you still love her just because of something small and stupid | |

I think this song is pointed towards the grown folks(those in there thirties and up sense HU was most likely in there twenties) showing them the perspective of the younger generations. The lyrics seem to me is the younger generation yelling out for once and not holding their tongues any more. "Yes, we wave this flag of hatred, But you're the ones who made it" this seems to be like this, the older generations where most likely raised in times where there were a lot racial tensions and its them saying "you may not like this race of people and your raising me to hate them like you but I have no reason to hate them because were all the same." the chorus is basically saying that we may be young but we got the heart to stand up for what we believe in even during the failing economy, and were strong in numbers even if we don't belong in that group. "We will fight (We will fight) Or we will fall (We will fall) 'Till the angels save us all" the younger generations are starting to stand for there believes until they are shown. |

I think it means(thanks to the song then to mirrors edge's co operation with each other) that its supposed be in faiths view and after everything that shes gone through and everyone else who's tried to kill her(i.e. Jacknife Cel, blues and the PK's) and she's claiming her victory over them but is also morning the deaths of everyone who worked with her and died (i.e. merc and maybe kreeg and drake)from (what I call them) the chasers(idk what there called). (all my interprets are from the gameplay of mirror's edge in faiths view)"I have changed I have changed Just like you Just like you" is most likely saying that faith had changed and learned who to trust like Kate. "For how long For how long Must I wait I know there's something wrong" in the first chapter the blues just started shooting for no reason so something must be up and they are wondering how long must they wait till they find out. "Your concrete heart isn't beating And you've tried to make it come alive" this is most likely about jacknife how he didn't really care about faith, but on the inside he wanted to care but thanks to his part in Project Icarus he couldn't care. "No shadows, just red lights. Now I'm here to rescue you" the city(which I call New Eden thanks to the mall) is on threat level red after faith keeps getting away and during that shes there to rescue Kate. "So silent No violence But inside my head so loud and clear" the city is peaceful but as a runner faith sees the truth and theres a whole bunch of violence. "You're screaming... You're screaming... Cover up with a smile I've learned to fear." Like in the beginning like faith said some just didn't care about the changes in the city but on the inside they want to scream out. "Just sunshine and blue sky. That's just how it goes for living here" the citys a utopia and is peaceful so nothing can rain on the parade basically. "Come fire, come fire, let it burn and love come racing through." theres hate between some people and let them hate but then "love come racing through" means love will make them stop. "Learn to lose, learn to win, turn my face against the wind." Some people don't know how to learn to lose and not be mad like Calahaugn did in mirrors edge and hired pks to get rid of the runners. "I will move fast, I will move slow. Take me where I have to go." faith will accept somethings faster than others and sometimes slower than others but eventually she'll get it(idk i just made that up while typing) "Oh I'm still alive, I'm still alive. I can't apologize, no." meaning that she can't apologize to those she lost to the "chasers" even though it was her how set it all off when she found out about what Icarus was and she wants to apologize for what shes brought upon the runners thanks to her own selfish and selfish-less actions. Well those where what I think what the song lyrics meant so Its not right but not wrong |
