When I think about it from Charles perspective, I think it is about a girl he knows, they see each other time to time, when he gets home from touring and stuff. They spent the night together, which felt great, but they both know as soon as he gets away from home, he will forget about her and vice versa. Even though he was looking forward to seeing her (to be home), as soon as he actually is with her, he wants to go back to his touring life. (hence "I know I said I'll see you When it gets to New Year But now that all the rain stopped falling All I think is getting out of here") "I've buried my pride, I've buried my key" He gave her back her apartment´s keys? But than "Ive buried my pride" doesnt make any sense. |
