I heard this song on a station called 95X, Otep did a live show and played this song. They said this song was about suicide, and the first vers was after some dude who committed suicide. But music is up for people to find there own meaning, to me I see lions as mutilating creatures who tear apart there pray but they keep dreaming...I just get the sense of a person who keeps hurting them self but dreams of something else, like the lamb sweet and innocent, when they know there not so innocent as they where, 'halo of barbed wire'....dunno lol. |

It does sound kinda stalkerish to me, but i went to wiki and read what sting was putting into the lyrics, but for me it also has a diffrent meaning. me and my boy friend had a huge bump in the road and we both made promises to each other so we would never fight like we had every again. this song makes me think of him and that he is making sure im keeping my promises. |
