A fantastic song that obviously carries a lot of meaning for a lot of people, and I tend to think of it as an expression of how the strength of love can overcome even the overpowering feelings that you get wandering through life of not having a home, being depressed, or focusing on death. It's a song that will linger long after the final note and deserves some deep reflection and I'm happy to see so many other people that like it. PS The Dum Dum Girls do a cover of this song that is absolutely fantastic, one of the rare occasions where I think the cover outshines the original. Still, it's the lyrics that make the song so great. |
