Natasha Bedingfield – Single Lyrics 14 years ago
This is my theme song. I wish people would quit being like "Oh, you're so jealous of me because I have a boyfriend" or "Pretty soon, a billion guys will all want you, don't worry!" Because guess what? I'm not jealous of you and your boyfriend, because I just don't really want one. If you want to have a boyfriend, that's perfectly fine, but don't say that I want one too...because I just don't. I love being single, and shall remain that way forever. "But that's horrible! Don't you want kids?" No, not right now, anyway. If I decide to be a mom later in life, then there's no reason I can't just adopt.

I'm a girl, I'm single, and I don't sit around moping about how nobody wants to go out with me. I'm a girl, I'm single, and I really like being single. I'm a girl, I'm single, and I would never change that.

Thank you, Natasha, for giving us this song. Finally, someone who feels the same way about the single life as I do.

Sorry for the rant, ahaha. Just had to say that. :D

Evanescence – Call Me When You're Sober Lyrics 14 years ago
I think Call Me When You're Sober is about a married couple where the husband is an alcoholic. The wife loves him and has tried to help him. She's sent him to rehab, Alcoholics Anonymous, countless therapists, she's tried everything in the book, but he just can't seem to stop drinking. Eventually, the wife just can't stand it anymore, and runs off while he's at the bar one night. She leaves a note by the phone with her number, saying "Call me when you're sober" - because even though she hates her husband's drinking, she is still in love with him.

Nirvana – Lithium Lyrics 14 years ago
I believe this is about schizophrenia.

"I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends, they're in my head"

Schizophrenic people often hear voices in their head or see people who aren't there, and they can't tell if what's happening to them is real or not. Imagine how nightmarish that would be...

"I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze
'Cause I've found God "

Schizophrenic people often have delusions to do with religion. They might believe that God is talking to them, or that they are Buddha, Zeus, Jesus Christ, Satan, or the Virgin Mary.

"I'm so lonely, that's OK
I shaved my head and I'm not sad "

People with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder are known to sometimes shave their heads.

"And just maybe I'm to blame
For all I've heard but I'm not sure"

And just maybe I'm to blame = they're wondering "Do I really have a mental illness?"
For all I've heard = the voices that the schizophrenic person is hearing.
but I'm not sure = the fact that they can't tell if everything is real.

Nonpoint – Everybody Down Lyrics 14 years ago
I think it might be about a serial killer, because of this bit:

"That'll be it
That'll be the end of you
Time to jump ship
Cause I'm a psycho and I'm crazy
And If you're too close you're gonna get hit"

Or maybe I've just been watching too much Criminal Minds, ahaha.
