Of Monsters And Men – Little Talks Lyrics 13 years ago
I can't get past this song without thinking, "I wonder if Edward Sharp is flattered when other people copy his songs?".

Ozark Mountain Daredevils – Jackie Blue Lyrics 14 years ago
This song was originally written about a guy, not a girl. Their record company (A&M, maybe?) recognized the radio potential of the song and asked the band to make "Jackie" a girl.

As far as the song goes, I agree with Buddha. This may be one of OMD's worst songs, ever. If you want to hear some inspiring OMD music, check out Standing on a Rock, Fly Away Home, It'll Shine When it Shines, Gypsy Forest, Spaceship Orion, Whippoorwill, Road to Glory, Beauty in the River, True Believer, ...I could go on and on.

Cracker – Get Off This Lyrics 14 years ago
Quite refreshing to hear a current popular artist that isn't sorry for his success. These guys don't appear to be spewing the hypocritical nonsense that so many of today's ultra rich stars do. Wow! I'm really impressed. Love the line about not having a government loan. Yeah! You guys rock!!! Note to the emo's and socially aware out there! If you're so darned sure the earth is going to sink into oblivion because of man-made global warming...start riding a bike!!! Ps...a few recent volcano eruptions over the last two years have spewed more crap into the atmosphere than 200 years of China-like pollution could.

Also, I bet 10 to 1 that the guys in the band Cracker give to charity and don't look for attention when doing so. If you're young and you've been brainwashed by gov't schooling, just sit back and open your eyes and think about what life would be like in the US if not for a thriving capitalistic environment. Do you really think the government can produce a utopian-like world for everyone? Open you minds and resist the status quo thinking that is mired in a craddle to grave dependancy on a righteous (haha) gov't. Rock on, Cracker.

Donna the Buffalo – America Lyrics 14 years ago
Sadly, groups like Donna the Buffalo feel the need to espouse their political leanings through their music. Luckily, most of their music doesn't take that path. Still, it's their prerogative, but it should be pointed out that they are misguided in thinking one political party is void of hedonistic tendencies, as the Glenn Beck of energy policy, ConservationMatters, put it (see the outrageously lavish dining habits of the Obamas or the multiple homes and extreme energy consumption of the Gore and Pelosi families,,,I could go on and on). Gotta love hypocrisy. Oh, the song, America? I don't listen to politically themed music from artists that are self-serving. Probably has a good melody.
