This song means everything to me right now. Also.. I love the fact that my 22nd birthday will fall on a Thursday. :D |

It seems to me to be written sarcastically, about someone who has a lot of influence among their friends, especially in the area of spreading rumors. Maybe This song perfectly describes someone I used to be friends with, but am no longer because all she did was spread rumors about people, even her friends. With that personal experience, it really makes sense that that's the idea behind this song. Basically, in a sarcastic tone, "Well if that person says I'm losing touch, it must be true!" |

I went to Vegas for spring break this year, and loved every second of it, mostly because of how much I love the music of Brandon Flowers and the Killers. His music means so much more to me after a week there. After walking down the Strip for the first time, his song, "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" gave me chills. Every Killers fan needs to visit Vegas! |

| The Killers – This Is Your Life Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This is a great example of an incredible song that doesn't even have a "chorus," per se. It takes a heck of a songwriter to do that. | |
| The Killers – The World We Live In Lyrics | 14 years ago |

It's been said in a previous comment, but at the end, the lyrics should actually be, "I know that/ we can heal/ over time" And earlier in the song, the line is actually, "Underneath the waterfall/ baby, we're still in this boat, yeah." |

I absolutely love the line, "No one expects you to deny/ And no one accepts your reasons why/ you cling to the ways of my name." It so brilliantly describes how people respect the fact that he has certain beliefs, but they refuse to see just how much his beliefs mean to him and that in all circumstances, he holds fast to what he believes. |

| Brandon Flowers – Was It Something I Said? Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| All of Brandon Flowers songs mean so much more to me after a week of vacation in Las Vegas (his hometown), and they seem so much simpler as well. For example, the "chapel" refers to any one of those cheap little wedding chapels in Vegas, "Tropicana" is an actual street name (as well as a casino), and "dealer" isn't a drug dealer; it's a dealer in a casino. | |
