To me this song is definitely about a possessive person. However I think the possessive person is not the woman but her boyfriend. The person who speaks in this song is the man. "I arrived when you were weak I'll make you weaker like a child" The man has no respect for his girlfriend: he is a macho man. He wants to humiliate her and to make her stay at home without seeing anyone. "If you're cold I'll keep you warm" "I will be your safety" "You'll already miss me if i go away" He pretends to protect her and to be indispensable for her. So as Dido said, it is definitely not a love song. |
