Saint-Jean-Baptiste is actually the National Holiday for the province of Québec. It's on June 24th and it's a very expected party and in Montreal, the party takes place in the Parc Jean-Drapeau, surrounded by trees. The little boy sings the title of the song "À l'orée des bois", which could mean something like "At the edge of the trees" So, the 24 might be a 24 pack of beers, the heat of summer fits with the event of Saint-Jean-Baptiste and the title could show the excitment of the boys for this great party, where, even though you're separatist or not, you just go and celebrate and drink on the streets and in the parks, since the police let us do that on that day. |
