| I definitely think it's about a goldfish. But if you wanna read into it, I'm going to guess that it's about someone he knows who does drugs. I want to say that maybe she huffs or something, because it references lungs and stuff. And maybe he loves her a lot and he wants to be with her so he's trying to take her places to make her happy or just make her feel anything at all, anything to keep her from her self-destructive behavior because of course he doesn't want to come over and find her dead. And maybe the last two lines are about him wandering if she's a good person. The rains being the end of the world or something, he wants to know if she'll go to heaven or not. I don't know, I just made that up. | |

I think it's about two people who are too scared to leave each other. Or maybe not scared, but just too familiar to let it go. They're not necessarily happy, just used to one another. They keep going through the same motions together because it's routine to them. And it's like breathing underwater because it's so hard for them both. I don't know why but I think the part about their legs trembling and them getting caught is about them having sex. So maybe the sexual aspect of their relationship is still alive, but emotionally they're both having trust issues and wanting to be in the other person's head to know all their secrets, but they're keeping secrets from each other because they think that's helping the relationship. That's how I see it. Also, I think maybe he says underneath instead of overneath. Since underneath is actually a word :P |
