I love everything people are saying about this song, it's brilliant. That being said I feel that the majority of people posting here are forgetting the beginning of the song, and focusing more on his Dad and his promise. Later in the song he says "i can see there eyes but tell me something, can they see mine" I feel like that refers to the person in the first verse, the one he loves. I think that person also died, he didn't want to face his dad because he could not loose another person.. Just something else to consider. |
