Yeah, because Can't Stand Me Now was really hard to figure out. If only it had been called something that gave away it's sadder purpose. Maybe something like Can't Stand Me Now, which is what it was fucking called. Seriously, did anyone actually think that one was supposed to be a happy song just because it sounded upbeat? Or are you just really, really stupid? |

it might sound similar, but in the sense that no tomorrow is a piece of shit of a song, and new fang is good. josh homme took shit and made it awesome. it shouldn't bother you; you should be thankful. |

He doesn't think he knows more than everyone else. He just wants people to think. Why can't people just think? I suppose any opinion is fine: this song is probably about the number 89 or something, right? See, because if that's not alright, then the only right thing to think is an opinion based on evidence. |

well it would be, except for the fact that 8/2, 9/2, and the like are worse. with 3/7 you could make a straight with 4, 5, 6, but with the aforementioned you would need four cards. at face value these hands appear better, but they are essentially the same since no one is going to showdown with 8- or 9-high. looks like someone else already posted this response below, but i only just read it. but this is the internet, where you can post whatever bullshit you like |

See, you guys could post whatever seems to come to mind as being an interpretation, or you could have an understanding of English words and phrases. "By hook or by crook" is most likely not something cool that rhymes and means something metaphorical that you have to guess at; instead it's probably something cool that rhymes and is a common expression meaning "by any means necessary". Or, you know, you could just post whatever you feel like. And, @ nobrainnopain, just because you have an opinion that's long and seemingly complicated doesn't mean you should be congratulated for typing what I'm sure was an intense three seconds of analysis (not that I'm going to analyze something as complex as this myself). I mean, c'mon, did you even read all the lyrics, or did you just do what we did in high school and read the title and the first line and then extrapolated from there? Don't you think that maybe, just maybe, ALL the lyrics go together with the title? That maybe Yorke means, instead of drugs/alcohol killing us, he means the day-in/day-out routines we follow are the things that are killing us "little by little", since he, you know, says that at the end. It ties all the previous symbolism together. Or, it doesn't, and you can just type whatever you want. |
