I love White lies, I think this is my favorite song by them :D I think the song is about a very strong and successful person returning home to a funeral and realizing how fragile life is and breaks down. 'He catches raindrops on his window, it reminds him how we fall, From the stars back to our cities, where we've never felt so small Rain drops from his window making puddles in his hands, He see's how quick the water's rising as another raindrop lands' I think the raindrops represent people (funeral) and places (home town) dying, one at a time. He has become a strong person but the raindrops keep falling quickly and build up in his hand. Eventually it all gets to him and he breaks down. Poetic <3 |
