It's funny when a band member goes solo, everyone thinks any song they write with a slightly negative connotation is about their former band members. This song is definitely not about The Starting Line, especially since half the members of The Starting Line were in Person L anyways and none of them ever felt any hostility towards each other or they wouldn't have reunited.

Ace Enders – Body Like Mind Lyrics

Ace played this song at the Where's the Band? Tour and he said it was about a solo record he did right after The Early November broke up. He said it was with a big record company, featured some well-known musicians, and after a lot of time and money he realized it sounded nothing like what he wanted so it was never released. He went on to build his own recording studio and that's when Ace Enders and a Million Different People began.

I think it's "as common as matches" and "as cool as a thief could be" and "you had to come from somewhere to be here, now I'm back on this gold" That's what it sounds like to me. This is my favorite song off the new ep, so much strength in his singing.

This song is obviously about the consumer mindset of the modern man, oblivious to what they're doing and what's being done to them. Excellent song, so glad they reunited. Can't wait for this album :D
