I wrote a comment on the song "Otherside" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers which is somewhat similar to what I want to write about this song. This song is catchy, but a bit too much considering that it's a song making a philosophical point. Are we 'human' or are we 'dancer', i.e. performers on the stage of society. I don't think that the song is clear enough about its point and it makes me miss songs by Simon & Garfunkel and other artists who didn't try to 'propel' their songs with musical tricks. I hope you guys can understand what I mean. |

I was thinking about this song this morning when I was talking to my Dad, and I think that a song about rape would not be the 6th or 7th or whatever song on an album but would probably be a B-side or a song like "Rape Me" by Nirvana, which is more to do with rape than this song.... |
