Phil Anselmo may or may not be racist, that doesn't matter in analyzing the meaning of the song; his message here is that the historic conflicts between race have given rise to an age of fools in the USA. Where the KKK has murdered and ruined families throughout its history, and white people have oppressed black people with prejudice, we create a situation where black people have unequal opportunity. We make the world ugly and create conflict, rather than working towards a situation where white people can be proud and black people can be proud without either side hating the other. For those of you who are racist, no matter what color you are, you're wasting your life wallowing in hatred. Racism is not respecting your own skin color, it is despising other skin colors. Because you are afraid of things that you do not understand. And that makes you a pathetic human being. Think about the most intellectual members of the human race; regardless of color, they were all extremely open minded individuals. And don't give me that shit that Hitler was an intellect, because while he was an intelligent speech deliverer he was trash when it came to tactics and he was so bogged down in his own doctrine that he led his country to humiliation and ruin. That is all that a racist will ever do; humiliate his heritage by refusing to "flex [his] mind." It's like letting your brain rot. |
