This is a fantastic song about someone trying to use him / rip him off - probably smarmy record execs. "His mouth is full of sand and hes dying to meet you" contains a Biblical reference Proverbs 20:17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterward his mouth shall be filled with gravel. "Bullet in your back" is less cliché than "knife in the back" Matt Schultz is an excellent songwriter and one of the most awesome performers I've ever witnessed. |
