That is why the ambiguity is really kind of brilliant to me. The kids could be in the Congo, Compton, or Columbine. It is all the same. |

A lot of young people join the military because they see it as a way out of poverty. Generally poverty = ignorance + desperation = trigger-happy soldiers who have no idea what they are getting into. It is the same as joining a gigantic, powerful gang to a lot of them. I believe this song is general enough to adress the problem at its source: kids losing their innocence young and becoming monstrous killers when (and indeed if) they grow older. The actual cause of it is ambiguous in the lyrics, but speaking generally, I think it is completely fueled by poverty and the ignorance that comes hand-in-hand with it. |

I think it is a general statement about how feeling has become an artificial commodity. The rappers are speaking from the standpoint of big industry. The lyrics are purposefully shallow and are about nothing more than explicit desire to feel good. When the singer says "love is free" he means that you cannot put a price-tag on it. Is everybody in? |

How about, don't do it frequently and do your homework on it first? It is definitely worth experiencing at least once. It isn't exactly fun at the time (at least for most people), but it is incredibly interesting to see what your mind projects as reality. |

Okay, Dramamine is an antihistamine and a deliriant when taken in high enough doses. That probably did have some influence on the music, considering how similar some of the sounds in it are to what you would hallucinate on a DMH trip. However, I think that Dramamine is symbolic of alcohol in this song. The traveling is fairly obviously a symbol for a relationship, and you take Dramamine in order to withstand traveling. The line about "breathing out Listerine" would also make sense in this interpretation. |
