I think this song is talking about how he thought their love would last forever but it didn't and to him this isn't something that goes away. He's going to love her even if he's not with her cause "Love is permanent, not temporary." He can't help the way he feels. My favorite part of this song is, "we hung them up just like real lovers and drove our nails into the wall cuz we thought they'd be there forever but we weren't permanent at all." They thought they'd be together forever but he knows now that it wasn't the case. They weren't permanent. |
