Lupe Fiasco – Lamborghini Angels Lyrics | 11 years ago |
This explanation comes from Lupe himself. The first verse is giving the scene of a preacher or someone of the sort giving an exorcism, or at least it would appear so. As it turns out, he isn't killing a demon, but the color of the afflicted person's skin. The hook is supposed to be Lupe looking at an inkblot test. When asked what he sees he says he sees Lamborghini Angels, mixing mythology with materialism. When thinking about the new Medusa or Cyclops or whatever, he said he thinks of cars and other frivolous things. With the hoods down, the good part, the halo, is missing, and the doors, or wings, are flapping. |
Kanye West – All Falls Down Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think the College Dropout theme is about Kanye personally, beczuse in these lines from his song Good Morning, he seems to say hes ashamed of his behavior in college and dropping out. "Wake up Mr. West, Mr. West, Mr. Fresh Mr. By- hisself-he-so-impressed I mean, damn, did you even see the test You got D's motherfucker, D's, Rosie Perez And yes, barely pass any and every class Lookin' at every ass Cheated on every test" |
Kanye West – Power Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Okay, let me just say one thing: Kanye is not with the Illuminati, and neither is JayZ. He is also not trying to usurp power from Jesus. Thats ridiculous. All Kanye's sayin in this song is that he, as a rapper, has a lot of influence, he's laughin at the haters, dissin SNL, he's definitely not apoligisin for anything, and the suicidal part is because he was actually depressed for a while. "I'm livin in the 21st century, doin somthin mean to it"- He's acknowleging his influence over todays culture. "No one man should have all that power"- He's saying he might have more power than other artists. Though this song is very unique, its message is onne of self-glorification, not anti-christianity |
