I don't think this is a love song. In my opinion the song talks about a hard situation in which you have to grow up, i came up with this because of the "Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?". It's about missing your childhood and how easy things were. I think that place he talks about, that "somewhere" is a place that exists only in his mind where he can be free. I get this freedom thing from the facts that he talks about a river, trees and nature related stuff. I love this song, I used to listen to it a lot when I was sad about my grandmothers dead. Whenever I listen to it a automatically picture myself in a field of sunflowers for some reason haha |

I LOVE this song, and I mean it. I heard it like 4 years ago and I was pretty fucked up at that time, you know, my grandmother had passed away and I was going through all that teenage shit... When I first heard it I felt so happy, it made me think she was taking care of me, wherever she was. I love it when he says "Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land" So fucking good, Justin Bieber should learn a lot of things from Train... fuck yeah |

Excuse me for my horrible english I tend to think Ms. Perry is not talking about teenagers having sex. Teenage dream actually stand for how do call it... wet dreams? LOL Maybe, fuck, I suck at this. Well my point is that she is not precisely a teenage, she is 26 year, I mean come oooonnnnn. So, in my opinion, she is just trying to explain how love makes you feel younger and alive, it doesn´t matter if you are 18 or 80..
