Ellie :) Silken Butterflies must be one of my favorite songs you can never not sing along to this puts a smile on my face every time i listen to it even on a bad day! I know this will cheer anyone up on a hard day I've played it so many times i'm in love with it. My favorite verse is 'I see this it mustn’t be real I’m nervous my stomach just fills With timid silken butterflies' this is what happens to me loads of times the words just explain what i couldn't do myself. The words in this song are so true it could describe how i feel, it is true that when you get nervous you get butterflies in your stomach that's why i love this it does help me to calm down when am getting worked up and really nervous about stuff. This is an amazing song and Roy's voice in it is gorgeous. :) |

I love this cover the most! (Beth) I think it is so much better than the original! I absolutely love Roy's voice on this and I love it even more because it is acoustic. I can realte to the part where it says 'you've been acting awful tough lately,.... but inside your just a little baby' This part actually reminds of people at school who childishly call people names or take the mick, they think that they are so tough but really they're just cowards. Also when it says 'Guess what, i'm not a robot, a robot', I think about my friend who does get name called and bullied because he is unsure about his sexuality and that those people don't think about his feelings.It's like he could say'i am not a robot' and I do have feelings. I hope that this song and its lyrics could help people feel better. I love this cover and it makes me feel happy, it is simply amazing. x |

Hello Everyone! -Well! Where do I start with this song?! Well, firstly, I loved how when they video'd it, they'd only wrote it the same day, which is pretty awesome for starters, but then again, that's the guys for you eh? ;) The unnecessary bits I love in the video are; how random people/cars drive past, and you can see it in the curtains, Roy's smile at the end, n'aww! & then I love how you can just here him say 'Is that alright?, Cool! at the end! haha. Anyway, I suppose I should get on to the proper meaning of the song, and why I love it so much! Once again, I have a favourite part, but I'll get on to that later. I honestly have so much love for this song, It's unreal. I love how much emotion you can detect through the song, it might just be me, but how soft Roy is singing, and the overall beautifulness (is that even a word?) of the lyrics, it just makes it a really nice song. This is gonna end up to be a fail of an explanation, cause I am supposed to say what the song means to me, but i'm just saying why I like it.. haha. Anyways, my favourite lyrics in this are; a cast of a thousands, smile like horizons, I'm jealous of laughters edge. Once again, I like Roy's voice, I think how he sings is just beautiful, but he knows that anyway. I don't have a proper explanation to why I like this so much, so I'll just sum it all up, by saying, if you could have an addiction to a song, this would ultimately be one of them I was addicted to. The song is awesome, and the guys have done so much in terms of music, and they don't actually know it, Music can help you escape to a different world, and forget everything, and just by listening to this song especially if i'm down, and I listen to a song by the guys it will INSTANTLY cheer me up. And If i'm honest, I don't care what people's opinions are when they say i'm obsessed or I sound like a massive douche for saying how much I love a song, people don't seem to get how much music is a part of my life, and how since the guys have been in it, with some awesome music, I actually look forward to Fridays, and i know that, whatever happens, I'll always have their music to help me through times where people can't. And I actually have so much love for them. It's unreal. My Forever - You and your music is an inspiration<3. |

Right So, Hey guys, It's Shelby Here. -We're updating My Forever's song meanings page, so I thought I'd come and update Island of Rain. -Basically, my favourite part is still disguised mistakes, goodbyes and fakes, cause history is history. I think, out of the whole of the song, this is the bit i'm most attached to, because, to me it still means, it doesn't matter how much you hide something, even though it's in the past, there will still be some way of remembering your mistakes, and the goodbyes and fakes bit symbolizes the person holding on to the past, even though they are doing their best to forget. I like how Roy sings this verse too, It may just be me that sees this, but the emphasis in his voice really shows, when he sings? However! ;) I also like 'You throw a coin for a wish, only answer mine' -I like how repetitive the only answer mine part is, but the message I get from it, is that it's okay to stand out? I know this is a weird interpretation, but you throw a coin for a wish, only answer mine, shows individuality within a person, because it shows how many people there are, but you are standing out, by saying this is me. 'Only answer mine' - i KNOW to people this will sound weird, but this is my interpretation to Island of Rain. |

I love every single lyric in this song it gets me in such a good mood for the whole day! i love the same lyrics as shelby really: So hard for you to tell me what you’re thinking Always a stranger, always a stranger So far for you to see me now you’re blinking I think your amazing, girl I think you’re amazing! i mostly just love these lyrics beacause when Roy starts singing them and the beat comes in,it just makes yhoo start jumping and singin round the room-well it does too mee! :p this was the first song i heard by Myforever and am so glad i did,these guys are truly amazing and am proud to say i really do love these guys! <3 :D |

-Hi Everyone.. Shelby here! Just updating the song pages, because it's been quite a while. So basically, if anyone still logs on for the comments, tell your friends, check out their youtube channel - myforeverofficial and drop a comment on here! Anyway, here's my updated meaning to Walk Away, I have listened to this quite a lot a lately, because when i listen to songs, I feel a connection with the tone it's sang in, if that makes sense to anyone? & I love how Roy sings 'So be brave, like you've got nothing to say' and then I also like the repetition of 'Just Walk Away' the softness of his voice, it's just beautiful. I also think of the song as letting go of something, that has been bothering you, in my case, the past, but it depends how you interpret it. ''I know that you’re missing me but the time has come to Find yourself less misery The memories will not change, gotta think about tomorrow Though it might feel strange, “feel strange” especially reminds me of forgetting the past and moving on, it to me is saying, although times are changing, your friends are moving on, you still have the memories, and they'll not be forgotten, even though it's weird to move on. This song really inspires me, and it has helped me through a lot of stuff, music to me is so important, and My Forever, and this song especially just emphasize how important music actually is. Those summer months is one of my favourite my forever songs. (Beth) The lyrics i like most are : "I'd make you happy if I could, if I could, I'd pluck the stars from the sky so you can sleep at night if i could I'd make you smile more if I could if I could I'd throw a lasso around the moon and pull if I could". This makes me think of when i wish i could do more for somebody. When i have seen a friend or a family member upset and just wished i could have done something more to help them. The lyrics "I'd fight your demons if I could if I could I'd walk the fires of hell, let it burn through my shoes if I could I'd write you more songs if I could if I could I'd climb a mountain just to show you the view if I could",make me think about how i would do anything and everything for anyone who means something to me. Silken Butterflies reminds me of times with my friends (Beth) I like the lyrics : "Thank god we rested here All silver winged and bottle vision It’s a good day to skip out on our thoughts (on our thoughts) And just enjoy this jaded joke You’ve gotta kid yourself To make the mile work" It makes me think of when i spend time with my two closest friends. The times when i don't have to think about anything serious and i can just have a laugh. The part where Roy sings "You've gotta kid yourself To make the mile work" makes me think to have a good day out with your friends you have to be silly and mess around. I always think of my best friends when i listen to this song and it makes me appreciate them even more. It makes me think how lucky i am to have them. |

The memories will not fade got to think about tomorrow, although it might feel strange" I can relate to these lyrics because i have lost people in my family who i loved dearly and it was very hard to say goodbye. I used to cry myself to sleep at night because i missed them so much. But these lyrics tell me that although your missing someone you have to try and still be happy and think about the future. And that the memories you share with that person will never fade. I can listen to this song when i am upset or happy. The lyrics are just beatiful. |

Right Well, Rusted visionary. (Shelby) I love this song because, Whenever I hear it, It reminds me of memories from around winter last year. My family and I were travelling to Manchester airport, it was very cold and early. But the taxi window was steamed up, and to pass the time we started randomly doodling on the window, anything from hearts to even playing noughts and crosses, so I always smile if I hear ' breathe hearts on frosty windows, only fools wait until they melt' cause the memories make me laugh so much. Unfortunatley we weren't fools cause we couldn't wait long enough, we had a plane to catch ;) I also like 'I feel innocent with sunken smiles now, one last moment with you.' It kind of relates to a friend I have, who moved abroad to Thailand, (Luckily she's moving back in April) and before she moved, We had a mawhoooosive party, to celebrate her birthday, pie fights, paint bombs, water fights, and a jacuzzi that turned bright red cause of all the paint bombs! - good memories. great song. what more could you need? :) |

Always a stranger - Well, this is a good one! As are all the others, but hey! (Shelby) In this song I like the lyrics ;- So hard for you to tell me what your thinking, Always a stranger, always a stranger, I like these lyrics cause, it says, you think you know someone, but yet, you can't always tell what's wrong, or something like that, like the person you know has another side to them, which you've never known before, and even though you have known them for so long, they're still a stranger in your mind, if that makes sense to anyone out there. I also like, 'I turn my hands my palms are libaries, and now the evening's swallowed me' It's hard for me to explain why I like this, but I'll have a go, It's like you know someone who generally knows everything, and can never admit that they are wrong, and they are so wrapped up in their own thoughts, that they don't think about anything else (and now the evening's swallowed me) Admitidly, people may think that it's a weird explanation to how I see the song, but oh well ;) |

Island Of Rain! - EPIC Song!! I actually love the whole song for Island of rain, all of the lyrics have meaning behind them. 'Disguided mistakes, goodbyes and fakes, cause history is history' are probably my favourite part of the song, Cause this brings back SOOOOO many memories, the last part is probably the bit I could explain in detail. I like it because Roy sings, cause history is history, but there are some people who don't let go of the past, and mistakes will never be forgotten, but at the same time, your trying to forget everything, say goodbye to the fake person you used to be, and just be who you are. A few years ago, I changed for alot of people to make them happy, when In reality, It shouldn't of been me that changed for them. I have realised that people should accept you for who you are or not at all. It took me long enough to realise, but I got there in the end. And Now, I'm a reasonably happy person, hopefully just me, not a fake.. Ha Ha! I love love loveeeee this song. |

The song I am going to talk about is a amazing song by my forever that I love (Ellie) but I carnt say it's my favourite because it changes all the time! The lyrics that I love are 'Those childhood memories,lost fields and are bruised knees now faded photographs,depict forgotten laughs dancing to traffic lights,the moon was huge that night now I see tired eyes,your throwing away everything.' This song can relate to me in some ways when I was younger with all my childhood memories and a lot of bruised knees!(It is true that you don't know what you have till its gone) like it says in the song now faded photographs that's what all those memories could turn into just faded photographs. the bit were Roy sings 'My minds now in the past, mirror of broken glass' can also relate to me because I am always looking back in the past were things were good with my family but now my parents have split up and gone separate ways it does feel like all those memories are turning into faded photographs. Silken Butterflies - Yet Another AWEEEEEESOME song! - (The CharliesAngels account is joint so whoever wrote what the lyrics mean to them are gonna write their name at the top- Shelby) Well, I can't pick a favourite song, cause it changes all the time, but silken butterflies is an amazing song. I like - Like kissing lipstick, or angels in the sand, I saw you stumble, still you don't grab my hand! I especially like the last few words in that line, because it relates to me because, I feel as though people have offered me chances to help me through things, but yet I've never actually taken the help, because I'm a very stubborn person!! Ha Ha! And also, I really like ''I'm nervous, my stomach just fills, with timid silken butterflies, aren't they just like monsters, (woah) ' Because It reminds me of the exams I've done so far, and how much of a state I get myself in to, because I panic, waaaaaay to much! Those Summer Months! - Well, what Can I say. What an awesome song! I don't paticularly have a favourite lyrics part in this song, but the part of the song that does stand out to me, is 'Standing there with sandals on, Bermuda shorts the summers long It's raining, it's raining, it's raining, the music's gone The summer's long the music the music the music the music' I like this part of the song the most because the song is basically about the good times of summer. Although my summer wasn't amazing last year, I can relate to previous summers, because Ive had some pretty awesome memories in the past in summer! - I also like the last part, 'the music the music the music the music' because, life to me is soooooo much about music, and i honestly believe that without music I wouldn't be alive. This song means the world and more to me. (Shelby) This is kind of my interpretation/meaning of the song to me. My favourite lyrics in this song are;- ''Words I could never say, come to me now, I'm screaming my lungs away, yet make no sound, yet make no sound at all. So be brave, like you've got nothing to say, those star eyes are only one step away, you sit and wait for me all day, just walkaway, walkaway.'' I like the first part because In school I was bullied quite alot, it reminds me of how I just let things carry on, and did nothing about it, And the second part, means quite alot to because it to me says, so alot of things are happening, unless you do something about it, nothing will change, and also, when you REALLY want to stand up and say something, but you don't, The last part - you sit and wait for me all day, just walk away, *walk away*, means to me- you sit there waiting for something to happen, even though it's pretty pointless, but you can't actually walk away, because of something stopping you. It reminds me of giving up on things, but then, when I listen to this song, it brings back good memories, so it really helps me when I'm upset. I love Roy's voice, because he has a really soft tone when he sings walk away, it's just beautiful. I love it. |
