I think this song can be interpreted in so many ways? Like he already has a g/f and is cheating or he went back to his old g/f and dumping a new girl? Or how I see it that he is still in love with his EX and maybe wishing she was more like his EX? That's just how I see things.... |

I know this sounds so weird but this my husband and mine's song! He has made a lot stupid mistakes in the time we've been together. He feels that he wants to change for me because he loves me. I know some say it's a past love which I totally get but I think it could also relate to a child in a way!?! Like, I've said before it all depends on how you perceive the lyrics is what matters the most! |

Yes, especially when he says I hope they can see past what "you" have become! obviously he's the one struggling he hopes they don't turn out like him! Although, it could also be referring to the wife in some people's eye especially if this is there situation. I think the song was wrote that way! Beautiful song one of my favorites! |

Actually, a lot of people think that this song is referencing to the wife and it's not! It's actually in reference to the husband. He's the one angry all the time in lyrics "I understand that loving a man should have to be this rough". kind of explains that! But in all to each their own of what they think the song is supposed to mean to them and how it makes them feel! That's what music is about right? |
