This song is clearly about his exiting relationship with Mayday Parade, specifically Derek. Anyone who has followed Mayday Parade/Go Radio in the past knows this. I started following Go Radio before it ever released any song, when it was just an “idea” of Jason’s. Jason was the reason I had listened to Mayday Parade. His voice is the replica of perfection and emotion, in my opinion. Also, his lyrics are striking, passionate, and emotionally inciting. All of the good/early songs of Mayday Parade were his words. He was the brains of Mayday Parade, and now they suck without him. They have completely sold out and lost their true value (seems like they’re turning into a pop band with girls targeted as their main audience). Jason Lancaster is one of the best artists out there, in every regard that counts (voice, passion, emotion, lyricism, genuine), and I will continue to support him as I have for several years. |
