this is the song i put on when i can't sleep and weirdly enough it always works. i would have said that um... similarly to the song "cars" it's stemming from a sense of protection. that being said looking for particular meaning in an atlas sound song is not something i'd spend too much time on. bradford's da best. |

i always find YACHT songs to have this undertone of almost sarcasm... here i take it as "wait around and good things will happen spontaneously for you"...which obviously is not going to happen esp. the kitchen baking you a cake.

more in general terms, seymour stein relating to the smiths... reminds me that in one of the cd slips (this one, i think) there is a picture stuart has set up of a boy and girl reading keats and yeats, like in the song "cemetry gates" by the smiths :)
and this song was in the movie high fidelity, the character jack black switches it off for something more cheery. |
